SHOCK OF GREY

Sarah Carroll Kelly is the designer & maker behind Shock of Grey, creating handcrafted statement jewellery from wood, clay, brass and plastic.

It all started the moment Sarah discovered her first lock of grey hair, she knew it was now or never. The result is Shock Of Grey; Wearable Art which is hand-crafted, sustainable, but bold and beautiful at the same time.

Sarah creates and sells items on an individual basis: every piece you see is precisely the piece you are buying - and nobody else will ever own another one quite the same. All pieces are handmade in Dublin 8.

After getting a First Class degree in Sculpture Sarah discovered there wasn’t a huge amount of demand for people chipping away at marble with a chisel, so she then worked as an artist, designer and musician for over 20 years, while doing a Masters and lecturing in Design.

Sarah is also a member of DCCI (The Design & Crafts Council of Ireland) & Women in Business Network.
